Over 1⃣ year ago now, I signed the 2023-25 biennial budget. That budget included a lot of good bipartisan investments. Unfortunately, nearly $200 million worth of those investments are still sitting in Madison one year later because Republicans still refuse to release it. 🧵

Child Care Counts has been a lifeline for child care providers and working families, but it's hanging on by a thread, and so are folks taking care of our kids. Republicans should release the $15 million we approved a year ago so we can get it out to the folks who need it.

It was great to check out Gooh Grocery here in Madison with @RepSambaBaldeh. This store helps fill an important gap, addressing not only access to healthy foods but also bringing more diverse food options to the area. Thanks for showing me around!

Young people are leading the way on so many important issues, and the future of our state is in good hands with student leaders like those at @badgerboysstate and @ALA_BGS. Thanks to @WiLegion and the American Legion Auxiliary for always putting on great events.

Wisconsin, the cost of child care is too darn high. We're going to keep working to urge Republicans to release $15 million that we already approved and agreed upon to support providers and working families across our state. We've got to get this done.
