My Latest Piece. This sample filmmaker's page aims to have his latest work critiqued by visitors. When he finishes a piece he invites his friends (who invite their friends) across multiple social networks to critique it.

Things to try: Sign in, link to your social network, post a review of the work, invite some friends to review it as well.

Things to notice: You can sign in with your Google, Yahoo!, AIM or OpenID account. You'll only need to link to your social networks and contact lists once.

Guacamole. This is a sample cooking site dedicated to guacamole. Visitors can review individual recipes and add comments and tips as desired.

Things to try: Sign in, scroll to the bottom, and add a review.

Things to notice: If you've already signed in to My Latest Piece, joining this second site is simply a matter of clicking "Accept". The social networks that you linked on your first site are all set up. There's no need to relink them.

Ingrid Michaelson. Ingrid is an independent musician who has been highlighted on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Her popularity has been ignited, in part, via iLike, an OpenSocial application. Ingrid has included iLike in her friend connected site to make it more engaging for her fans.

Things to try: Sign in, click the iLike link. Go to the Fan Wall, post, invite some friends, via the link at the top of the site.

Things to notice: Ingrid's site gained terrific functionality by just copying a snippet of code.

BibleApps. This is a site owned by an OpenSocial developer that is totally dedicated to their OpenSocial application, "Verses". Here, your Bible knowledge is tested in a game that compares your score with other members who join the site.

Things to try: Sign in, take a Bible quiz, post a prayer.

Things to notice: There's a very wide range of application and websites that can benefit from Google Friend Connect.

My First Earthquake. My First Earthquake is a San Francisco based indie rock band. My First Earthquake has added commenting to their friend connected site to make it more engaging for their fans.

Things to try: Sign in, and post a comment.

Things to notice: Observe how nicely they have skinned the members and wall gadgets to match their site.
