What is this?
Who knows. For now it's just a library of notes with material for podcasts, like cool bands and band-directories, and at the same time an experiment to check out the collaberating and publishing options for Google Notebook. Who knows what it might grow into. It's publicly viewable, though collaborators are invite-only. Contact Hoo Hoo Nick at hoohoonick@gmail.com if you wish to join the fun. Bands to look for
What is this?
Here's basically where I put names of bands I find in flyers, newspapers and other crap around town, so that when I have time to surf around, I search the sites on google, listen to the music, and email the artist if I like what I hear. List of bands:
* http://www.punicapunk.com * The Soul Express Orchestra * Public Domain * Temple Sleep * Bush Chemists - Sounds like great dub but no website found yet? * stuffy * 50shots * Mollygogo * sticky leaf * tamazite * in confesso * poZe * Sju Fjell Bergsystem - can't find a site! * Espen Horne * Mike Slocombe Bands
Brain Buckit has a few songs on PMN.
BRAIN BUCKIT is groovin', FUNK-ROCK with a unique blend of tasty guitar and horns. While retaining their musical integrity, they produce extremely PEOPLE FRIENDLY, ROCKING, RADIO MUSIC. Brimstone If you’ve never heard of The Brimstone Solar Radiation Band, don’t
worry. It`s only a matter of time before you can hear their music blasting
from radios in the park, through rolled-down car windows, down in the pub, out
on the beach, in fact it won’t take long before you yourself have bought
their album of soulstirring space rock, blissed-out psychedelic folk tunes,
groovetastic songcycles, hipshaking powerpop and all sorts of other delights
for your heart and ears! But it is as a live band, The Brimstone Solar Radiation Band really have made a name for themselves. After years of criss-crossing Scandinavia and the occasional foray into continental Europe the group has gelled into a spectacular musical unit. Their concerts are incendiary experiences, which leave every listener happy, and brimming with life, every dancer exhausted but with a beaming smile. As the band is well acquainted with every arranging trick in the book, and also throw in a couple of their own (most of the bandmembers are multi-instrumentalists) their gigs are never boring. The music pulses, flashes and weaves colourful carpets of sound in the air, only matched by the The Brimstone Solar Radiation Band’s wardrobe, a sight that is worth the price of admission alone!
