Pre Show
Jessy a.k.a. Yonen
Steve, I totally agree with what you said about Atheism and Philosophy. I too have a hard time not laughing, if I'm trying not to sleep. But I usually don't do anything because I have respect for my Grandparents. Also, if you go to Québec you, you can find some "retaille d'ostie". They actually sell the leftovers of those "wafers" and you can buy them at the corner store. And Jeannine, if you met a pushy buddhist, he was a bad buddhist. I'm glad that you obviously don't believe that talking about religions is Taboo, well I don't think you believe in taboos at all :). Also Steve, as blunt or as mean as you can be, I'm glad that you don't push your views. You do talk against religions, but I don't remember you talking against religious people, you do complain about the Religions themselves, but apart from the Extremist, you don't seem to mind that some people are religious, which I think its great. Nick from Halifax
hey gang, this is nick from halifax. i was just listing to episode 98 and you where talking about Amish people and you have to rent a documentary called Devil's Playground you will be amazed about what goes on on those farms. have fun with the 100th show. P.S. facebook is crazy addictive Matt Rawle (from Mixtapes for Heartbreak):
I remembered the soft-drink debate from a few episodes ago (or maybe many episodes ago), and I believe it would be correct to inform you that Blue Canoe (in the Irving up near Starbucks) is now selling Coke Blak, a cola-and-coffee variant. Bryan from Halifax and Rob from Enfield won Rim Rollers on show #98...I haven't sent them out yet.
Steve, and Jeannine, Just wanted to wish Spine Radio a Happy 100. I don't know whether you use the slang term a "ton" to celebrate 100, but that's slang for 100 runs in cricket. Scoring a ton! Team, by the end of the show you'll have scored your ton, and every run was a winner. Sorry I'm a piker and won't be listening in real time at 0330 on Monday morning, but hey podcasting is all about time shifting. So I'm shifting this short message to you all, offering my sincere congratulations. You've made me laugh, you've made me think and occasionally you've brought me close to tears, (the show about the exotic dancers being barred from Breast Cancer donations). Don't kid yourselves folks, you are indeed quality entertainment. I'm sure the folks at "that" McDonalds will be thinking about you. Enjoy your soaring to Episode 200. All the best, Morrie Message from Morrie
