On most phones, reset Google Maps from the menu to restore the application to the state it was in when you first installed it. Resetting will clear the application of the following info if applicable:
- Search history
- Cookies
- Favorites
- Preferences
- Map and satellite image cache
- Layers
Android-powered devices
From your home screen, go to 'Menu' > 'Settings' > 'Applications' > 'Manage applications' > 'Maps' or 'Google Maps', and then choosing one or more of the following options depending on your device: 'Clear data', 'Clear cache', or 'Factory reset'.
BlackBerry
From the main menu, select 'Help' > 'Reset Google Maps' then press the 'Reset Google Maps' button when prompted.
Symbian S60
Select 'Options' > 'Tools' > 'Reset Google Maps' then press the 'Reset' option when prompted.
Windows Mobile
Select 'Menu' > 'Options' > 'Reset Google Maps' then press the 'Reset' option when prompted.
