Ahman & Hellvig are the new world’s number one team!
David Ahman & Jonatan Hellvig are the new number one team in the men’s FIVB Beach Volleyball World Ranking! After winning gold at the Volleyball World Beach Pro Tour Tepic Elite16 last week in Mexico, the 22-year-old Swedes dethroned Norway’s Anders Mol & Christian Sorum, who had been on top of the chart for 82 consecutive weeks, since October 3, 2022.

FIVB Volleyball Empowerment beneficiaries Katja Stam & Raisa Schoon of the Netherlands claimed the women’s silver at last week’s Beach Pro Tour Elite16 stop in Tepic, Mexico. Switzerland’s Nina Brunner & Tanja Huberli celebrated their first-ever Beach Pro Tour gold. Brazil’s Barbara Seixas & Carol Solberg took the bronze.

Ukraine’s National Beach Volleyball Tour Continues In Full Swing

As the Beach Pro Tour season has settled into its early-season stride, hitting consecutive stops in Brazil and another in Mexico, something still felt amiss. Namely, the best players. Almost all of them. Kristen Nuss and Taryn Kloth have played just four matches this season, Kelly Cheng and Sara Hughes six. Miles Partain and Andy Benesh haven’t played at all.
