Original Black Lacquer: 1941 Buick Club Coupe
This 1941 Buick Club Coupe has 54,000 original miles and all original paint according to the seller. This is the Super, which came with twin carbs on the Fireball Straight-8. The exterior of the car looks stunning int he photos, and it is said to start, run, and drive beautifully. Find it here on Craigslist in Wichita, Kansas for $19,750. Special thanks to BaT reader Tyler H. for this submission!
The seller of the car offers continuous ownership history, from the first owner who traded it to a dealer after 20 years where it was stored, to several collectors since. The swept b-pillars and long trunk give this car great presence, and these tires look like replacements after it supposedly had a set of 50-year-old tires removed.
The interior of the car remains very original but does show some wear. The dash and steering wheel look to be in lovely shape, and the transmission is a 3-speed manual shifted on the column.
The engine is also very original, with pleasantly worn paint and a rare original air cleaner that feeds both carbs.
This is a very straight and clean looking coupe, and the preserved original condition is just as desirable as a restored car as far as we are concerned. We’d want to verify that the frame and floors are solid as they are not mentioned, but other than that this looks like an excellent car to buy and drive as-is.
