This Buick Special got away, but there are more like it here.

This 1941 Buick Special has been with the seller and his father for approximately 20 years and underwent a refurbishment in blue over grey cloth prior to current ownership. Power comes from a 467ci Chevrolet V8 paired with a three-speed TH400 automatic transmission, and additional equipment includes a Camaro front end and rear axle, power-assisted front disc brakes, air conditioning, a Holley carburetor, exhaust headers, braided hoses, and more. New spark plugs and gaskets are said to have been installed within the past eight months. This Special is offered by the seller on behalf of his father with transferable Georgia registration.

Front and rear bench seats are upholstered in grey cloth with matching door panels and carpets, the latter of which are said to have been replaced in the early 2000s. Amenities include an air conditioner, a tilt steering column, and aftermarket speakers. Some of the ventilation ducting is disconnected, and a stereo is not installed in the dash opening.

A 1980s-era steering wheel rests ahead of a custom instrument panel including fuel level, amperage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature gauges as well as a Stewart Warner speedometer. The six-digit odometer shows approximately 43k miles, with total mileage unknown. The fuel gauge is said to be inaccurate.

The Chevrolet V8 is reportedly a Tonawanda 454 which has been overbored to 467ci, and is equipped with a Holley carburetor on an Edelbrock intake manifold, shorty exhaust headers feeding custom tubing, and a camshaft of unknown specification. The battery has been relocated to underneath a fender. The seller states that the spark plugs, oil, and several gaskets were replaced eight months ago, though the right header gasket is said to leak intermittently.
