1968 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible 327/350 4-Speed

This 1968 Chevrolet Corvette convertible is finished in black over black upholstery and powered by a 327ci V8 paired with a four-speed transmission. Equipment includes a body-color removable hardtop, 15″ turbine-style wheels, power-assisted disc brakes, power steering, pop up headlights, chrome trim, power windows, and a Delco AM/FM radio. The car reportedly remained in Arizona with its prior owner from 1970 through April 2023, at which point it was acquired by the seller. Work completed under prior ownership between 2013 and 2019 included repairing the clutch fan and hood latch, refreshing the brakes, and replacing the starter motor, speedometer cable, and exhaust manifolds. The seller states that the spark plugs were replaced and fluids were serviced under current ownership. This C3 convertible is now offered with an owner’s manual, manufacturer’s literature, service records from prior ownership, a replacement black soft top, and a clean Arizona title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The fiberglass body left the factory finished in British Green (983) and was refinished in black under prior ownership. Exterior details include a matching hardtop, a white soft top, pop-up headlights, fender vents, split rear bumpers, a dual exhaust system, and chrome trim on the bumpers, rocker panels, and windshield surround. The seller notes the paintwork was wet sanded and polished in March 2023. Images showing paint imperfections on the edge of the driver’s door and wear on the white soft top are provided in the gallery.

The 15″ turbine-style wheels wear Cooper Cobra Radial G/T tires measuring 235/60 up front and 255/60 out back. Equipment includes power steering and power-assisted four-wheel disc brakes. Records indicate the brake pads were replaced along with the left-rear brake caliper under prior ownership in October 2015.

The seller reports the interior was re-trimmed in black under prior ownership, and equipment includes power windows, bright door sill guards, a padded center console cover, an analog clock, and a Delco push-button AM/FM radio.

The three-spoke steering wheel is equipped with a Corvette center emblem and fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and additional gauges in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 55k miles, approximately 1k of which have been added under current ownership. The speedometer cable was replaced under prior ownership in 2013, and total milage is unknown.

The 327ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was rated at 350 horsepower. Work completed under prior ownership between 2013 and 2019 included repairing the clutch fan along with replacing the starter and exhaust manifolds. The seller reports the spark plugs were replaced and the engine oil and coolant were changed in preparation for the sale.
