This Chevrolet Camaro 3rd Generation 1982-1992 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1984 Chevrolet Camaro Z28 features a Straman convertible conversion and is finished in red over a charcoal cloth interior. Power comes from a 5.0-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission, and the car is equipped with a power-operated driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, and more. Service during the seller’s year-long ownership included a carburetor adjustment, replacement of the valve cover gaskets, and an emissions test in March 2019. This Camaro is offered with a window sticker, factory literature, a record for the recent service, a top boot, a car cover, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The body is finished in red and features silver accents on the lower fenders and rocker panels as well as black insets on the hood. The condition of the paintwork is shown up close in several gallery photos below.
A black soft top is fitted and the seller states that the plastic rear window is fogged, as well as noting that the side mirrors are loose. Aftermarket wheels with black centers and polished lips are mounted with Road Hugger white-letter tires.
The interior features bucket seats trimmed in charcoal cloth with striped bolsters, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, a tilt steering column, cruise control, and a factory-style stereo, though the latter is said to be inoperable. The five-digit odometer shows approximately 62k miles.
The 5.0-liter L69 V8 was rated at 190 horsepower when new and is mated to a four-speed TH700-R4 automatic transmission. The car was serviced with a replaced vacuum cap, new rocker cover gaskets, and a fresh battery before passing a California emissions test in March 2019. The seller states that the carburetor has been replaced and that the exhaust piping and muffler were replaced in May 2017.
A window sticker, owner’s manual, sales literature, and magazine articles regarding the Straman conversion are included in the sale along with a top boot and a car cover.
