This 1987 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z coupe was registered in Florida since new and underwent a refurbishment prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2019. The car is finished in dark red over black leather upholstery and is powered by a fuel-injected 5.7-liter L98 V8 linked with a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. IROC-Z equipment consists of body-color ground effects, hood louvers, IROC-Z graphics, and high-performance suspension components, and additional elements include four-wheel disc brakes, 16″ alloy wheels, Hedman headers, a polished intake plenum, tinted windows, air conditioning, and a Pioneer CD stereo. This IROC-Z coupe is offered at no reserve with the removed factory stereo, spare parts, a Carfax report, and a clean Florida title in the seller’s name.
The doors were replaced and the hardtop body was refinished in dark red metallic without stripes circa 2014. Details include IROC-Z graphics, body-color ground effects, faux hood louvers, tinted windows, and an integrated rear spoiler. The wiper fluid pump is said to have been replaced. The Carfax report lists damage reports in August 1988 and November 1993, with damage to the rear and left side of the vehicle, respectively. A crack in the front bumper cover is displayed in the gallery.
Black-finished 16″ IROC alloy wheels are mounted with 245/50 BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel discs, and slotted front rotors are installed. The IROC-Z featured a lowered ride height, larger diameter sway bars, and revised dampers when compared to the standard Z28. The front shocks were replaced under current ownership.
The bucket seats are upholstered in black leather with red piping, and IROC-Z-branded floor mats line the footwells. Appointments include a center console, a theft-deterrent system, power-operated windows and locks, air conditioning, and a Pioneer CD stereo. The headliner was replaced, according to the seller.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames replacement instrumentation including a 145-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and readouts for oil pressure, coolant temperature, fuel level, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 8k miles and is said to have rolled over. Total mileage is unknown.
The 5.7-liter L98 V8 was equipped from the factory with Tuned Port Injection and has been modified with a polished intake plenum and valve covers as well as MSD ignition wires and Hedman exhaust headers. Service since the seller’s acquisition in 2019 reportedly included replacing the temperature sensors, battery, and fuel relay and pump.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The removed factory cassette stereo and a set of rear shocks are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows the aforementioned damage reports in August 1988 and November 1993 along with history in Florida.
