This Jaguar XJ40 XJ (1988-1994) got away, but there are more like it here.
This 1988 Jaguar XJ6 was acquired from the estate of its original owner in 2023 according to the seller, and it now has 77k miles. It is finished in Talisman Silver Metallic over Savile Grey leather upholstery and powered by a 3.6-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. A rear shock conversion kit has been fitted, and the car also has 15” alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a power-operated sunroof, air conditioning, power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, and an AM/FM cassette stereo. This XJ6 is now offered at no reserve with an owner’s manual, touch-up paint, two keys, a clean Carfax report and a clean North Carolina title in the seller’s name.
The car is finished in Talisman Silver Metallic and features a power-operated sunroof, a power antenna, a rear window defroster, quad headlights, polished exhaust outlets, power-adjustable side mirrors, and chrome trim on the grill, headlights, bumpers, side moldings, mirrors, and window surrounds.
Alloy 15″ wheels are mounted with 205/70 Yokohama Avid Ascend LX tires that show 2022 production date codes. The car is equipped with power steering and the factory-equipped self-leveling rear suspension has been replaced with a Jagbits conversion kit utilizing Bilstein shocks. The brakes are said to have been refreshed which included replacing the brake pressure accumulator.
Savile Grey leather upholstery extends from the eight-way power-adjustable front seats with lumbar support to the rear bench, center console, and door panel inserts. Wood veneer trim accents the cabin, and appointments include air conditioning, a digital trip computer, cruise control, a folding rear armrest, carpeted floor mats, reading lights in the rear of the front headrests, and an AM/FM cassette stereo as well as power windows and locks.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel is mounted to a telescoping steering column and frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, a Vehicle Condition Monitor display, and digital auxiliary gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 77k miles, approximately 2k of which were added under current ownership.
The 3.6-liter AJ6 inline-six is equipped with electronic fuel injection and double overhead camshafts, and it was factory rated at 201 horsepower. The water pump has reportedly been replaced. The seller states that the battery was replaced in July 2023, at which time the oil was changed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF four-speed automatic transmission.
An owner’s manuals, touch-up paint, and two keys are included in the sale.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in North Carolina with gaps in entries from 1994 to 2007 and 2010 to 2023.
