22k-Mile 1991 Jaguar XJS Convertible

Sold for $27,000 on 10/13/21

This 1991 Jaguar XJS convertible was sold new by Laurel Jaguar in Laurel, Maryland and remained with its original owner until 2021. It is finished in Signal Red over Magnolia leather and is powered by a 5.3-liter V12 paired with a three-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated black soft top, white-finished 15” basketweave wheels, fog lights with covers, power-adjustable and heated sport seats, cruise control, automatic climate control, and a cassette stereo. Service performed in preparation for the sale includes replacement of the air conditioning compressor, receiver/drier, and a coolant hose. This XJS shows 22k miles and is offered by the selling dealer in Stuart, Florida with a window sticker, the original sales invoice, factory literature, spare keys, service records, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Maryland title.

The car is finished in Signal Red (CFC) and features a power-operated black soft top. Additional exterior details include fog lights with covers, impact bumpers with chrome trim, chrome side mirrors, a polished fuel filler, an automatic antenna, and Classic Collection badging. White-finished 15” basketweave wheels are mounted with 235/60 Goodyear Eagle NCT 60 tires. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes. A spare tire and jack are found in the trunk.

The cabin features power-adjustable and heated sport seats that are trimmed in Magnolia leather with red piping along with matching leather door panels. Wood veneer trim accents the dash, center console, and top of the doors, and additional amenities include automatic climate control, cruise control, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and a locking glove compartment. The air conditioning compressor and receiver/drier were replaced in preparation for the sale.

A four-spoke airbag steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and vertically oriented auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and amperage. The six-digit odometer shows 22k miles.

The 5.3-liter V12 features electronic fuel injection and was rated at 263 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. A coolant leak was repaired in August 2021.

The window sticker shows initial delivery to Jaguar of Westfield in Westfield, New Jersey and lists factory colors, equipment, and a total price of $60,425. An invoice from Laurel Jaguar is viewable in the gallery.

Service records dating to 1991 are also included in the sale, along with factory literature and spare keys.

The Carfax report shows no accidents or damage and lists history in Maryland and Florida.
