This Jaguar XK8 got away, but there are more like it here.
This 2000 Jaguar XK8 convertible is finished in Phoenix Red over Ivory leather and is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a power-operated beige soft top, 18″ chrome wheels, heated front seats, automatic climate control, and a factory stereo with a CD changer. The car was sold new at Hornburg Jaguar in Santa Monica, California, and later spent time in Arizona before its recent acquisition by the selling dealer. Work in 2022 is said to have included replacement of the timing chains, guides, and tensioners as well as suspension components. This XK8 convertible has 34k miles and is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, service records, two remote key fobs, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Arizona title.
The car is finished in Phoenix Red (CGL) with a power-operated beige soft top that stows beneath an ivory cover when lowered. Features include fog lights, a power antenna, and dual exhaust outlets. The soft top hydraulics were serviced in 2014, and the front bumper cover is said to have been repainted under prior ownership. The selling dealer notes scratches on the rear bumper cover.
Chrome-finished 18″ seven-spoke wheels wear 245/45 front and 255/45 rear Bridgestone Potenza S-04 Pole Position tires showing 2014 and 2015 date codes. The front struts and upper and lower strut tower bushings were reportedly replaced in 2022.
The cabin features seating surfaces upholstered in Ivory Connolly leather, as well as burl walnut wood trim on the dashboard, steering wheel, and center console. Amenities include heated and power adjustable front seats, automatic climate control, power windows and locks, and an AM/FM/cassette stereo with a trunk-mounted CD changer. The four-spoke steering wheel frames a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. Additional gauges for oil pressure and voltage, and an analog clock are mounted in the center stack. The digital odometer indicates 34k miles.
The 4.0-liter V8 was factory rated at 290 horsepower and 290 lb-ft of torque when new. The timing chains, guides, and tensioner were replaced in February 2022.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission. Additional underside images can viewed in the gallery.
The car is supplied with manufacturer’s literature, service records, and two remote key fobs.
The Carfax report shows no accidents or other damage and lists history in California and Arizona through its most recent entry in April 2017.
