CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (IOWA'S NEWS NOW) — Two people are hurt after a semi-crash just before midnight in downtown Cedar Rapids.
It happened around 11:35 p.m. Monday just north of the 1st Avenue exit.
Witnesses described sparks flying off the trailer as it skidded to a stop and rolled over blocking the southbound lanes of Interstate 380.
Traffic - which included several semis - was backed up behind the crash for about 25 minutes before it was able to detour.
Amy Winker shared her view of the crash with Iowa's News Now. She was the first vehicle behind the semi when it crashed.
The driver and a passenger inside the semi suffered minor injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.
