The full size Jaguar XJ series has been sold in many generations
since 1968. Combining style, space and grace, these large sedans
have been Jaguar's flagship model. The X308 generation was
introduced in 1997 and looked a lot like its predecessor but
introduced a lot of cutting edge technology. The XJ8 version came
standard with a 4.0L V8 that produced 290hp and was mated to a 5
speed automatic transmission. Standard features included leather
seats, alloy wheels, and air conditioning.

quite nice on the outside. There are the usually small
imperfections, but the paint is nice overall and it has good chrome
trim. It also has V8 badges, hood ornament, and dual exhaust tips.
The interior is finished in oatmeal leather and shows a significant
amount of wear on the seats and center console. The dashboard is
clean and crack free and has good wood trim. Standard features
include power seats with memory function, power windows, power
mirrors, sunroof, heated seats, cassette stereo, automatic climate
control, and the classic J gate shifter.
