1976 Cadillac Eldorado Convertible - 2560 documented miles
This classic example of 70’s Americana was specially ordered by my father. Other than one family trip we took to NC to show his mom and in-laws his new car, it never left storage again except for routine trips around the block to keep it in running order. It has been carefully stored for almost 44 years. This vehicle is as original as they come and looks like it could have just rolled off the show room floor. The color combination on this car is one of, if not the best, I have ever seen and I have never found it on another Eldorado. I call it “Gold on Gold” but technically it is Pueblo Beige Metallic paint, Antique Light Buckskin interior, and Light Buckskin top. The gold look is timeless and forever classy.
The only work that has been done has been to replace the original asphalt filler panels that over time become brittle, crack and fall apart with ABS plastic versions that will not have this problem (color matching is very close). The original tires eventually dry-rotted and have been recently replaced with steel belted radials with period-correct white walls.
Since my parents passing, my sister and I have decided it is time to let this vehicle find a new home. Of all the original, low milage Eldorado’s available, it is very rare to find one listed by the family of the original owner. I have been around this car since I was 12 years old. While I never got to drive this one until 2018, my father loved this car so much he purchased a used one in 1978 so I have fond memories of driving around in what GM declared as “the last American convertible" as a teenager.
