The company has a $1 trial, but you sign up for a subscription. The subscription auto renews. Did you ever cancel the subscription? This may be difficult to dispute.

Apple Cash is a service that’s administered by Green Dot Bank. Contact an Apple Cash Specialist at Green Dot Bank by calling (877)-233-8552 or by calling 1-800-MY-APPLE

Disputing a charge is only done with the Apple Card, since it is a credit card. Once you give cash to someone and they accept it, you cannot pull it back. That is the difference from a charge transaction and a cash transaction. Even in the case where you message Apple Cash to the wrong person, the only recourse after they accept it is to ask them to send it back.

and I need to dispute it

You Apple Cash is similar to giving someone cash on the street. You will want to make sure you know who you are giving the money to. It is not a credit card that you can dispute charges with. You do have the option to cancel the transaction if they have not received it yet. If they have received it, you will need to ask them for the money back. Some users on this thread have had success by contacting GreenDot/Apple using the links already provided, when the cash was sent to a business. All you can do is try and in the future refrain from sending Apple Cash if you do not know the person you are sending it do. You can also use Apple Cash to pay with Apple Pay on retailer terminals to purchase products with no problem.

Anytime you sign up for a trial subscription, which is what they are offering for $1, you will be billed for the subscription after the trial ends. It is up to you to cancel the subscription at least 24 hours before the trial ends. If you don't do that you will continue to be charged until you cancel the subscription. Or better yet, don't sign up for a trial subscription at all and then you won't have to worry about the charges.

They may tell you there is nothing they can do since it’s not like an actual credit card. First I’ll say, I NEVER pay with anything other than a credit card unless I’m willing to lose that money in a scam.

BUT I did you Zelle once, it’s not Apple but the exact same principle. The money comes outof your bank account just like using a debit card.

Unfortunately I was scammed and never received what I ordered. I did receive a request for an additional $325 from another scam company, disguised at a shipping company. At that point I knew it was a scam and did not pay the additional $325. I called the bank where are use Zelle and explain to them what had happened. They do have a department to deal with the scams. Although it was not as quick and easy as filing a dispute with a credit card company, I still got my money back. I don’t know if the bank just gave me my money back as a goodwill gesture , or if they were able to retrieve the money from the other person too. Either way, unless it’s a friend for minimal amount of money, I would never use any of these pay apps nor would I ever use a debit card. If you’re doing business with a legitimate company, they will accept a credit card if you’re doing business with a company, who request any other type of payment, there’s a possibility they are a scammer, and I would do some investigating prior to paying them or doing business with them.
