930 ALICE
INTRODUCTION
Hello everyone.
I'm Nicholas, I am working for a company specializing in the production of aluminum for the construction industry. With my knowledge, with Bruce's help, I created this post to introduce everyone to my first project, 930.alice. With my vision, I want to bring a novelty in the mechanical keyboard.
Concept and Design
In a long time of experience, I am really impressed with the layout alice because of its fast typing speed, good ability to use two hands. That's why I decided to study layout alice.
I wanted to look for novelty in materials, I realized that all keyboards use PC as a plate. This interests me really: "Can a PC make a case or not". That's why I researched and developed the top plate with red-dyed PC material.
About the bottom I still prefer to use aluminum / brass to create weight for the keyboard. However with "topdown" design, that meanthe bottom is completely covered by the top, all the material becomes thick,  it becomes expensive to design extra weights, so I decided to design the flat bottom.
i love the beauty of simplicity, that's why i chose a 4 part design, top, bot, plate and logo, this makes the installation easy but doesn't lose its beauty.

Question
Why only Red?
First of all, I quite like red. secondly using PC dye-sub sandblasting seems to have too little choice of color, I don't want to risk product color in the first project
Why is there that price?
Because with this "topdown" structural, the raw material is very thick. moreover, the processing of large and thick PC is quite time consuming and comes with high cost
Proptype V1 information
Soundtest will be update soon

Ori only helps me with 3D drawings, the rest of the design items are made by me (from concept to detailed technical drawings). Thank you

The red polycarb with mixed materials is pretty hot, NGL. I wish the badge was slightly more narrow as it feels a little unbalanced, but otherwise the bezel proportions are lovely.

Looking forward to the sound tests.

600$ is for SE with Brass bot. And what I said, with this structure, all material are very thick.
