CONWAY - Coastal Carolina head beach volleyball coach Steve Loeswick announced the program's 2018 spring schedule on Tuesday. In its third season of competition, the beach squad will play a total of 16 matches, including two at the Coastal Carolina Beach Volleyball Complex.

The Chants open their season in Wilmington, N.C., on March 21 with matches against Jacksonville State and the host UNCW Seahawks.

Coastal then plays four matches on the campus of Mercer the weekend of March 30-31. The Chants square off against ASUN rivals Florida Gulf Coast and Stetson, playing both schools once each day.

The next weekend sees the Chants in action at Jacksonville, where they play a pair of matches against Jacksonville and North Florida on April 6-7.

Coastal's two home matches of the season take place on April 11, when Mercer comes to Conway for a Wednesday doubleheader. The matches are scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

Coastal finishes the regular season in-state, as South Carolina plays host to a two-day tournament April 13-14. The Chants take on Missouri State and the Gamecocks on the first day, and close the weekend against Tulane and College of Charleston.

The 2018 ASUN Championship is set for April 20-21 in DeLand, Fla. Like last season, only the top five of six ASUN schools will qualify for the tournament.
