BRIDGETON, MO (KMOX) - The dead of winter won't bring an end to beach volleyball in St. Louis anymore – at least in the Bridgeton area that is.

Volleyball Beach 365 just opened its new air-supported dome last week and began hosting nightly tournaments and leagues for adults. It's located next to Kingpin Lanes and is believed to be St. Louis' first air-supported dome in 20 years, according to the RFT.

The dome has room for two courts, as well as plenty of room for spectators on each side, with tables and chairs. Owner Gary Shenberg, who purchased Kingpins Lanes about a decade ago, has plans to keep "the dome" up from October through April, and then put it away for the summertime sessions.

On Saturday night, he turned off the lights and turned into a glow-in-the-dark dome with black lights and glow sticks galore.
