Motherboard with the new AMD A55 chipset and FM1 socket supporting the latest AMD APU series A and only the forthcoming AMD E2 better known under the codename Llano and Zacate. A55 is based on the concept of FMX, which means that there are in fact only the south bridge. North Bridge is fully integrated into the compatible processors. Compared to higher chipset A75 A55 is impoverished native support for USB 3.0 and SATA III. Other key features such as support for HD audio, RAID 0/1/10 and hard drives with a capacity of 2.2 TB and more in UEFI BIOS, have been retained.
Model in design from ASUS deliver performing Anti-Surge Protection with surge protection and an integrated single chip EPC, which real-time consumption control. There is a set of useful software tools and Al Suite II ASUS TurboV functions for user-friendly overclocking without having to reboot the operating system. Of course there is a flexible and easy to operate UEFI BIOS (EZ Mode).
A very important feature of the board is the support of memory with frequencies up to 2250 MHz, especially for those who want to extract maximum performance from the integrated graphics core in the mounted CPU. He does not have their own video memory, and so is forced to use available system RAM (512 MB). And in order to achieve the maximum throughput of 30 gigabytes/s, it is important to use memory modules with a frequency of 1866 MHz. Of course it is possible to use lower clocked memory, but the potential performance iGPU will not be fully realized.
