This simple word can end any lovers’ quarrel

One simple word has the power to end an argument with your other half, experts now say.

If you’re in a relationship, chances are you’ve had many a lovers’ tiff – but marriage and family expert Hal Runkel insists the word “ouch” could be the answer to your troubles.

Hal told Business Insider that that clashes with the ones we love are inevitable.

When we’re arguing over something, it’s human reaction to shoot something personal back after being slated.

Hal said that the word “ouch” is a good defense – because if you admit something has hurt you, your loved one is more likely to step back.

Mocking up a scene, Hal gave an example of: “Ouch. That one hurt. I don’t know if you were meaning to hurt me; I don’t know if that’s what you were going for; but that’s what you did.”

The expert adds that your partner may answer with a similar reply – and that opens lines for you to both admit guilt, apologize and make-up.

By saying “ouch,” you are giving forgiveness a chance.
