Biography

Elected to transfer to Texas after spending his first season at Kentucky ... saw action in 25 games (20 starts) last year with the Wildcats ... consensus No. 1 point guard in the class of 2021 prior to reclassifying to be a part of the class of 2020.

 

As a Freshman in 2020-21 at Kentucky:
Played in 25 games (20 starts) ... ranked second on the team in assists (73, 2.9 apg) ... averaged 6.5 points and 2.6 rebounds in 28.9 minutes per game ... reached double figures in scoring seven times ... led the team in assists in 16 contests ... led the squad in steals in six games ... registered 11 points (2-5 threes) and six assists against Arkansas (Feb. 9) ... posted a season-high 14 points with four assists and two steals against No. 11/10 Tennessee (Feb. 6) ... tallied 12 points and added two assists and one steal at home against Alabama (Jan. 12) ... had 11 points and three assists, including the game-winning pass, at home vs. Vanderbilt (Jan. 5) ... registered 11 points (5-10 FG) and a season-high seven assists while playing 43 minutes in the double-overtime win at Mississippi State (Jan. 2) ... tallied 12 points with four rebounds and three assists against No. 22/21 North Carolina (Dec. 19) ... had 12 points and four assists in his collegiate debut against Morehead State (Nov. 25).

 

High School:
Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, Calif. (head coach Gary McKnight) ... ranked as the No. 26 overall prospect in the nation by ESPN ... earned a spot in the prestigious Jordan Brand Classic ... averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 assists and 4.9 rebounds per game in his final season at Mater Dei ... claimed first-team California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) and Trinity League Player of the Year honors ... as a sophomore in 2018-19, he led his team to the CIF Open Division Southern California regional title and earned MaxPreps Boys Basketball third-team Sophomore All-America accolades ... in the summer of 2019, he directed his team to the Peach Jam finals and averaged 11.6 points, 5.1 assists and 4.8 rebounds per game while converting 41.4-percent from three-point range in the Nike Elite Youth Basketball League (EYBL) ... also played football, baseball and soccer.
