LOS ANGELES – The No. 2-ranked USC beach volleyball team (0-0) opens the 2019 campaign at home the sand of Merle Norman Stadium on Wednesday, March 27. The Women of Troy welcome in No. 13 Loyola Marymount (3-0) and No. 1 UCLA (5-0) for duals at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. PT respectively. Both matches will be shown live on Pac-12 Networks (National and Los Angeles).
 
The Bruins are the defending Pac-12 and NCAA champions; and have won four straight against the Trojans. Crosstown Cup points are up for grabs in the 16th matchup between USC and UCLA. The Trojans are 9-6 all-time against the Bruins. USC has never lost to the Lions in 18 previous all-time meetings.

• USC owns three beach volleyball national championships including the first-ever NCAA title in 2016 (AVCA, 2015).
• The Trojans are 46-7 all-time in home matches and are 44-7 in matches played at Merle Norman Stadium.
• 8th-year head coach Anna Collier is 173-32 (.844) and is the first and only collegiate head coach to reach 150 career victories.
• Only seven teams have ever beaten the Trojans in a dual match: Pepperdine (12), UCLA (6), Long Beach State (5), Florida State (4), Hawai'i (3), California (1), and LSU (1).
• All-Americans Abril Bustamante (Sr.) and Tina Graudina (So.) return at the top of the Trojans' lineup. The duo went 31-2 overall in 2018.
