    I am equally awed and horrified at the disgusting array of body noises I am forced to endure at my office job in Dallas. I am not from Texas - is it a cultural thing? No idea. But it's gross and disturbing. I need to block out the cacaphony or I'll go mad. So I bought these ear buds. They insert gently into the ear in an interesting angle that seems carefully designed for maximum snugness. There is a specific left bud and right bud. They don't block out all the noise on their own, but the moment you plug into a sound source you are utterly in your own world. You might hear a loud siren, but conversation, coughing, hooting, harumphing, fog-horn nose blowing, etc., is mercifully defeated. The ear buds are made of a very soft rubber-like material that cleans easily and doesn't hurt sensitive ears. It seems to be a standard plug that goes straight into my computer or an MP3 device. I'm not a technophile. This is as simple as it gets. There are no volume controls on the buds - you need to use the controls on your media player. So plug it in and enjoy some peace. Oh yes - the sound quality is quite nice.

    My lovely girlfriend was dissatisfied with her "Apple iPod Buds" because they kept falling out of her ears when she was doing school work and other things while listening to music. I found a set of these on Bestbuy for $9, and promptly ordered them via in-store pickup: A quick demo in the car on our way to dinner... Holy Mother of Life, for under $10 these sounded absolutely fantastic! They sounded as good or better than buds that cost 5-30x more.

    Sound Isolation: they have great sound isolation and include three different size ear bud inserts for different sized ears.

    Sound Quality: Sharp bright highs, with rounded warm mid's and well balanced bass. I honestly have a hard time believing how good these sound for this price point. Wow

    Value: The best value in audio hardware I have ever run across period.

    Construction Quality: Build quality is good, but they seem light/ fragile, especially the wires. That said, for this price you could pick up a pair and still spend less then you would on other buds that have less quality audio performance.

    Adding even more joy, they seller on Amazon has them for under $8 with free shipping! Wow!

    My package was delayed, but a quick message to the seller resolved why, and they were very friendly and responsive.

    Save your money, and try these out.

    These days I'm having trouble getting the media off of me. As well as becoming a meme, people are unable to see me. These earbuds have reall helped me out. These earbuds are basically free, I got them for 5.69. I'm a huge fan of the Panasonic ergofits for its shocking comfortable design and low price, so I had my expectations high for this earbud. It met all of them. The noise-cancelling, bass and treble don't stack up to the ergofits, but for half the price, its an incredible bargain. If you turn up the volume a few more notches the bass, treble and noise cancelling abilities match those of the Panasonic. However, the earbud tips are not soft are stretchy like the ergofits, they feel a bit cheaper, more stiff and brittle, and less comfortable. The headphones are also shockingly light, it feels like I am not wearing anything. Similar to the ergofits, the cord tangles easily. Nevertheless, this is one straight savage pair of budz for the price, but the 5th star was lost because of its bass, treble and earbud material.

    I bought these to walk/jog with my dog. I was worried because they were so cheap, but they are great!! Like another reviewer mentioned, I wish the cord was a bit longer; there's plenty of extra cord if I put my iPhone in my side pocket of my running pants, but it's a little short if I put them in my running capris, but not so short that I feel like I will stress the cord (the pocket is on the back hip).UPDATE: they were used every day and shoved in/out of bags/purses/pockets and they just died today (8-20-16). I got over the short cord issue quickly so I've updated my rating to 5 stars.

    These headphones are not in Hi-Fi class, not even close. I tested them with Sony phone, without and with equalizer. Middle tones are far too dominating. I rather would buy JBL budget earbuds. I am disappointed, I thought JVC could do better. I use these mostly as I listen radio talk show, but for music, these are not something I like.

    They have great sound quality and fit comfortably. The cord is nice and long, however the way it is packaged means it will be all curly for a while. The wire is quite thin and delicate so just be careful with it and it will serve it's purpose.

    I bought this based on the very positive reviews and the price tag. Still, this isn't good value for the money: the wire looks identical to those in disposable airplane headphones, very wrinkly and short and overall the quality is disappointing. The jack has connection issues with my phone. Arguably my phone isn't new and the female connector might be a bit aged but I don't have this problem with other headphones. The sound quality, once the jack is properly engaged is decent, or at least it is what you would expect from this type of headphones. On the positive side, the headphones come with a pair of spare rubber plugs for the ears of different sizes. Finally, the plastic packaging is literally impossible to open without some strong scissors or a sharp knife.
