First: sizing
it's a good fit for a M_atx, yet it's the size of a midtower that could have accomodated more if not for the PSU shroud. I haven't done a build for myself in a while and it was somewhat unusual seeing how tall this case was, yet how tight it was build wise. Usually I'd associate build "tightness" with the smaller cube cases and SFFs, but this had similar issues.
Specifically, with the blockier and beefier port setups \ shrouds and heat sinks on newer mobos, Fan clearance very quickly becomes an issue. For my earlier complain at initial "dang that's a big MATX case" I find myself wishing they'd made it 25mm taller to give a little more space for a full sized fan at the top.
That said, I wasn't quite as careful on my initial fan selection and they were standard (25mm) thickness, so I couldn't fit the board in with a fan in the top.
That leads directly to my next issue... I couldn't use Silicone fan mounts that I usually like on the top
because of the magnetic mesh filter. While I like the idea of the filter, and honestly, having the silicone ends "sticking out" isn't esthetically pleasing, I was mildly dismayed that I couldn't use my mounts because the fans I picked out had solid corners... and I wouldn't have been able to use them on the top mount if I wanted to keep the filter.
Wiring was pretty good, as there are points in the stamped sheet metal for lacing through zip ties
at the same time, seems like everything was just not well placed to give space for cable connectors etc.
one of the pass throughs in the lower shroud near the power supply is entirely wasted unless you want your cables tight against the PSU.
All complaints about fitment aside. It looks good, I was able to hide 80% or more of my wiring
and I can entirely see why people spend $50 on special wire extensions and adapters so that
20% visible wiring was more esthetically pleasing.
The all black visible interior is nice, especially with black components, of course again, from an older IT professional and gaming enthusiast, Black on black on black with Black screws is heck on the old eyes and I found myself swearing every time I dropped a screw.
Unusually, the power supply mounts at the bottom, with a separate dedicated intake and outflow for power supply air. This certainly helps with the heat flow, however the intake vent is on the bottom. They included a removable/easy to clean dust screen for it. I would put the tower on a hard surface or a stand instead of carpet to allow air flow to this bottom inlet. A flat piece of thin wood underneath would be sufficient. Also, there didn't seem to be a way to mount a front input fan, but this is likely not necessary. They took ventilation and dust filtering seriously.
It has 3 mounts each for IDE style drives (DVD-RW for example), 3x smaller 2.5" drives, and 3x 3.5" drives. They have nice clippy trays, with plenty of airflow. One kind of weird thing is the SATA connections for the 2.5" drives are on the main side, but the 3.5" drives put the connections on the back. You could easily mount additional drives in the space between the "official" drive trays. They made a great wire run to keep a lot of cables tucked away out of the airflow. The CPU power, as well as the case front panel wiring can be run through here, and the channel has great access for all of the drive bays. Cleanest wiring imaginable. Took a few iterations to get as much of the wiring run through the channel as possible, but certainly worth it in the end.
Best PC I ever built, and this was certainly the right case for it. (this was July 2020, pandemic/work from home project)
-----
Minor update 2023. The PC described above is still going strong. Processing data, developing software, designing spaceflight instruments, occasional games. The interior stays quite dust free, and the fans are nearly sub-audible. Easy access to the disks allows frequent cloning. Nearly 3 years in, and the case might as well be brand new.
I just bought a second Thermaltake tower to build another PC for work. Kept the Silencer power supply, upgraded to a newer ASUS TUF Gaming motherboard and newer CPU. Added a GeForce RTX 3060 Ti, which takes up a lot of room but fits. Again, this tower was just a joy to build up. The interior is just so airy and open and accessible.
One minor caveat, was this time the 9x motherboard mounting holes were not threaded. I cannot recall if they were threaded on my 1st Thermaltake tower, or if the bolts self-threaded more easily. This time, I couldn't get the motherboard bolts to thread into their holes. So I used a 6-32 tap to thread the mount holes, then the motherboard bolted in easily. Maybe the paint was a little thicker this time, or I should have pushed harder? Not a big deal for me, since I had a 6-32 tap on hand, and it took like 5 minutes, barely produced any filings.
Other than that things went smoothly. It is also worth noting that the back of the CPU area on the motherboard is accessible thanks to a clever cut-out. This allows adding brackets for heavier CPU heat sinks, without having to remove the motherboard. Again, bravo.

-1 Star as the fans that come with arent PWM Fans and are completely redundant to include in a case sale. All three included fans use a Daisy chain 5v 3 pin ARGB plug instead of a standard RGB 3 Pin, so the RGB wont work unless you have a 5V ADDGen2 Header to plug into. As well, the fans use a 3 pin for power so there is NO RPM monitoring, control, Fan curve profile, nothing. Its 0% off or 100% on. no inbetween. Thankfully I have a MoBo with more than enough headers for this, but If I didnt, there would have been no point getting this case as I am now having to buy 7 Corsair fans just to get the cooling and RGB set right. If you arent adding more fans, just want a straight wind tunnel through your case, this is for you. But if you want to make curve profiles, Fan ramp times and RGB schemes, avoid this, unless you can get the case without the fans :)
