Everyone loves a nicely executed hot rod, particularly if it’s an unusual one like this Porsche 914/6 that had a heart transplant from a 993-gen 911.

The project took three years to complete, namely from 1995 to 1999, and includes a modified bodywork with wider steel fenders, a modified front bumper with a bigger inlet for the oil cooler, and a reshaped rear valance to make room for the dual exhaust tips. It also rocks set of black 16-inch Fuchs wheels, with the body finished in Adriatic Blue, including a matching targa top and sail panels.

The revisions give this 1970 Porsche 914/6 quite an aggressive stance, and the fit and finish of the modified bodywork appear to be quite high.

Underneath the skin, the hot-rodded 914/6 features an upgraded front suspension with bits from a 930 911 and the rear getting reinforced trailing arms and a custom parking brake system as well as 930 brakes.

The naturally aspirated 3.6-liter flat-six came from a 9k-mile 1998 Porsche 993 and features a lightweight single-mass flywheel and a Centerfoce clutch. The transmission is a five-speed 915 transaxle unit fitted with ‘big-flange’ axles, a limited-slip differential and a 916-style shift linkage from Wevo. The exhaust is compiled from Billy Boat headers and heat exchangers and a Patrick Motorsports stainless steel muffler.

Inside we get a pair of Konig sport bucket seats clad in perforated leather, silver-knit carpeting, a Momo Prototipo steering wheel, rebuilt and modified VDO instruments along with an auxiliary VDO cluster that shows information about the oil pressure, battery voltage, and a clock. The odometer shows 69k miles, with the seller having put on around 5,000 miles during his ownership over the past 25 years.

This rather special hot rod is accompanied by its original 2.0-liter flat-six engine and a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity that lists the original color, options, and build data, and confirms that the extra engine is the original to the car.
