Hello Adalaide! Katherine Heigl introduces adopted daughter to the world at family lunch

She's kept her under wraps since announcing they had a new addition to their family earlier this year.

But as Katherine Heigl headed out for lunch in Beverly Hills yesterday, she was finally ready to introduce her newly-adopted daughter Adalaide to the world.

Beaming as she carried the little girl in her baby carrier, Katherine gave a glimpse of her daughter's face as she headed into the restaurant.

And it seems baby Adalaide is already a natural with the photographers, as she barely stirred and continued to sleep soundly as she was toted by her actress mother.

It was revealed earlier this year that Katherine and husband Josh Kelley had adopted another daughter, a sister for their three-year-old little girl Naleigh, who they adopted from South Korea in 2009.

Katherine has been very vocal on her thoughts about adoption, insisting there is nothing she likes more than being able to offer a home to an otherwise disadvantaged child.

She said: 'My feeling about adoption is, Why not? There's nothing about it that makes it any less meaningful of a relationship in my mind.

'My husband and I wanted to have a baby, and to us it didn't matter how it happened. Adoption has been a part of my life and a part of my family, so it was how I wanted to start. It felt natural and right to me.'

Yesterday, Katherine took little Adalaide to meet the rest of her family in a restaurant in Beverly Hills.

Dressed in skintight blue trousers and a white blouse, Katherine looked rather chic considering her previous fashion fails.

She teamed the ensemble with a chunky blue necklace and a pair of large sunglasses that covered a generous portion of her face.

The Knocked Up beauty will next been seen on the big screen this October in the family comedy The Wedding.

It tells the tale of a divorced couple (Robert De Niro and Diane Keaton) who pretend they're still married at their son's (Ben Barnes) wedding.

Katherine plays Lyla, one of the ex-couple's children.
