Putting on a united front! Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber take their sons to lunch together three weeks after announcing split

When they announced their split exactly three weeks, the couple highlighted how important it was to maintain a good relationship so they could raise their sons together.

And on Monday it seemed Naomi Watts and Liev Schreiber were sticking to plan, as they were spotted grabbing lunch with their sons together.

The 48-year-old walked alongside her ex, 49, as he pushed sons Samuel Kai, seven, and Alexander 'Sasha' Pete, nine, on a bicycle.

Naomi and Liev looked to be getting along just fine during the joint outing.

The duo have been already been spotted spending time together with their children several times following the break-up, and have even shared sweet happy birthday messages to each other.

For their family day out on Monday, Naomi sported a textured, grey T-shirt, which the actress wore underneath a stylish, fitted grey blazer.

She teamed those with a pair of form-fitting, dark wash jeans, which she cuffed at the ankles.

The mother-of-two finished off the laid-back look with a pair of black and white sneakers, also carrying a small, black leather Gucci cross body purse. 

Naomi wore her blonde tresses pulled back and out of her face, and hid her eyes behind a pair of over-sized sunglasses. 

Liev kept comfortable for the family outing as well, donning a fitted, white T-shirt and a cozy, grey sweater.

The Ray Donovan star coupled those with a pair of blue trousers and white, low-top sneakers.

Liev could be seen pushing a bike on which sons Samuel and Sasha sat, as he walked beside it.

Naomi was later seen on a stroll with older son Sasha, before also taking beloved dog Bob for a walk.

Over the weekend, Liev was spotted leaving Naomi's New York City apartment, after which Naomi stepped out for a walk with the kids.

The couple announced their split in September, after 11 years together.

They shared a statement to announce the break-up, which read: 'Over the past few months we've come to the conclusion that the best way forward for us as a family is to separate as a couple.'

'It is with great love, respect, and friendship in our hearts that we look forward to raising our children together and exploring this new phase of our relationship.'

'While we appreciate your curiosity and support, we ask the press to be mindful of our children and respect their right to privacy,' they concluded. 

Going their separate ways: On Saturday after Liev was spotted leaving Naomi's New York City apartment, he hopped on his scooter, while the actress took a stroll with their sons
