Description: (U.S. Steam Yacht, 1890) Photographed prior to her World War I Naval service. Formerly named Lady Godiva, then Norseman, Mohican was acquired by the Navy on 19 April 1917 and commissioned on 7 June 1917 as USS Mohican (SP-117). She was renamed SP-117 in 1918. The yacht was returned to her owner on 17 February 1919. The original print is in National Archives' Record Group 19-LCM. U.S. Naval History and Heritage Command Photograph.
