A:  In most places these have to be vented outside by code. If you sell your house and it is inspected by a real estate inspector they will require you to make that change so you can't vent into an attic or crawl space.

A:  Yes it does. I don’t know of any that do that. The reason for an exhaust fan is to get rid of the moisture to prevent mildew buildups.

A:  Mine is vented outside, the light includes the kit to vent outside. Sorry but I do not know which ones do not require outside venting. They have several on display in the store I’m sure their sales people could help.

A:  It is your choice where to vent but I would check your local building codes first. I have vented into an attic years ago at a previous house and it created another issue of increased moisture in the attic and mold. I always vent the bathroom to the outside. Hope this helps.

A:  Yes, it does. The 682NT is a non-ducted bath fan.

A:  I bought the whole assembly, changed the motor and fan assembly and the light holder which was rusting. I changed the cover and globe also just so I didn't have to clean the old one. It took me about 10 minutes. New fan now doesn't sound like a helicopter on the roof.

A:  This fan is UL Listed for use with an incandescent bulb only.

A:  No, it will not. The 8663RP replaces the older 8663. The 8664RP has different functions than the 8663RP.

A:  Our fixture is in the middle of the room but it would look fine anywhere. The vent feature is a great added bonus.

A:  Yes, model 8664RP is UL listed for use in a tub/shower stall enclosure when used with GFI branch circuit wiring.

A:  My answer is yes , IF the cover is kept in place so that if the light bulb breaks it will prevent the glass from falling down , and IF the unit is only serviced when the tub is empty and dry with a piece of tape over the drain to keep any glass or debris from falling into the drain . The only other caution that I would bring up is if someone is into very hot steamy baths / showers , then that might not be very good for the fan / electrical components .

A:  Yes but it must be on a protected corcuit with a gfci breaker or wired after a gfci outlet.

A:  NO.

A:  It will work as a refit by just changing the motor, grill and light. I done this a number of times.

A:  Yes it will. Buy the entire fan and light. Replace reflector, and fan/motor assembly. The new plastic grill with real glass insert will be slightly larger in diameter requiring no ceiling work. Simple.

A:  Yes it does. The backflow damper comes with the fan enclosure assembly.
