Q:why doesn't the float kick on when it's vertical? I had it for about 2yrs now.

Answer This Question
A: GHas,
The float should engage when in the up position. If the float is completely vertical and the pump is not engaging, there is either a problem with the float or the pump.

Q:Can the length of the float be adjusted? Mine is getting caught on the corrugated interior of the well. Will there be any problems if adjust the cable clamp to shorten the length of the float?

Answer This Question
A: You should be able to do this as long as the float can go full vertical when necessary. I would make the adjustments and then test the pump when approaching activation and again when fully submerged (including float) to see how it reacts.

A: Mike,
The float switch needs to be able to float "top" to "bottom" freely. Adjusting the float or overall design could certainly hinder the performance of the switch. Please contact our experts at 844-883-1872 for additional information for your situation. Thanks.

Q:Removes water down to how much
by|Jan 21, 2021

Answer This Question
A: Daniel,
This pump is designed to work inside a sump basin system and will drain water when the switch is activated (by rising water). However, if you are looking to have this pump remove all standing water within that basin it will not be able to do so. With the center suction design, this pump was designed to help prevent debris from entering the impeller area and with that it will leave some residual water within the basin once the cycle is complete.

Answer This Question
A: This pump is designed to be fully submersible, so yes it would operate in your situation. However, the automatic switch does not allow for that type of range of motion, it would turn on well before 3 feet of water. Please contact us at 844-883-1872. Thanks.
