One week out from Day 1 of GoSH: Our incredible tech-spectacular show at the City of Mandurah Performing Arts Centre where over 700 youth from across the Peel region will be seeing first hand how technology can lead them to a global future from their bedroom, or a disruptive innovation pathway from the back of their classroom. I recently had the opportunity to participate in the 2.0 Technothon 23 organized by Galgotias College of Engineering and Technology, and it was a decent experience overall. The event was well-organized, and the organizers ensured that participants had the necessary resources and guidelines to work on their projects. The hackathon had a good mix of problem statements, allowing participants to explore various areas of interest. The mentors and judges were helpful and approachable, providing assistance whenever needed. The atmosphere was supportive, encouraging collaboration among teams. While the projects presented were not groundbreaking, they showcased the participants' effort and creativity. It was evident that each team had put in a lot of hard work to develop their prototypes and solutions. The finale provided a platform for teams to showcase their projects to a panel of judges. Although the judging process was fair, there were no standout projects that left a lasting impression. In summary, the 2.0 Technothon 23 was a decent experience. It provided an opportunity to work on interesting problem statements, receive guidance from mentors, and connect with fellow participants. While the projects may not have been extraordinary, the hackathon still offered a valuable learning experience and a chance to refine technical skills. #event #learning

🚀 Hackathon Highlight! 🚀 Thrilled to share my recent experience participating in a joint hackathon hosted by Metropolitan State University of Denver and University of Denver - Ritchie School of Engineering & Computer Science. The theme of the challenge: "Enhance Campus". Together with my fantastic team, we developed a 📚 Study Scheduler Recommendation Engine 📚. This innovative tool prioritizes individual assignments based on their grade weights and the remaining time to their due dates, ensuring students can manage their study hours most efficiently. Key features of our solution: 1. Dynamic Allocation: Automatically adjust study hours as assignments get completed or when new ones are added. 2. Weighted Prioritization: Focuses on high-grade weight assignments without neglecting those with nearer due dates. 3. User-Friendly Interface: Easy-to-navigate for all students, ensuring a seamless scheduling experience. Grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with bright minds and leverage technology to enhance student productivity!

Looking for suggestions (people, sites, etc) for teaching virtual worlds creation tech to wide range of ages, etc. Primary goal is to teach local (maui, hawaii, usa) folks how to build worlds to show history and future of the county... digital twin, bring myths to life, recreate lost historical sites, etc. DM or comment. Thanks This is a follow on to my Envision Lahaina and Visions of Lahaina Past and Future. The latter is an installation idea using project video of various story worlds. The former includes a website to which people can upload buildings and put them onto maps. Here is a video of a prototype of such a website created for me by some very good UHawaii students at a hackathon last fall... https://lnkd.in/gTvRn-Ac
