Studebaker died but its classic cars live on

USA TODAY
On Sept. 20 and 21 there will be an annual car event dedicated to all things Studebaker, the defunct American automaker that got its start with horse-drawn buggies in the early 1850s. Before shutting its doors in the 1960s, the company rolled out various modes of transportation including carriages ridden by U.S. presidents, World War II cargo trucks and retro sports cars, some of which will be on display at the Studebaker Swap Meet in Dunkirk, New York over the weekend. If you can ' t make it to the free event, you can still take a trip down memory lane with these Studebaker models through the years.
