P.V.C Trim 

We offer you a vast range of profile shapes for use with ceramic tiles, individually designed for a variety of 

finishing functions, and in various depths and finishes. 

The range is the result of years of consultation with professional ceramic tile installers and designers. 

• Manufactured to the highest standards from top quality virgin P.V.C.u. 

• Internal and external corners are finished professionally, providing a long lasting protective finish to any 

ceramic installation. 

• Special finishes creates features and dramatically enhances the installation. 

Genesis profiles significantly reduce the installation time of laying ceramic – because the installer does not 

have to be so precise in cutting tiles to fit. 

Genesis P.V.C. profiles are extruded from high quality material. 

We do not use any re-ground material in the manufacture of our P.V.C. profiles.

P.V.C Trim 

Trim Plus 

The edge for ceramic tiles with the patented features of 

removable height platform and guide line on its underside. 

These features allow for better fitting whilst on site as the cut 

tile will invariably present a thicker edge than the uncut tile. 

The co-extruded red strip will ‘zip away’ allowing an extra 1mm 

to be found. The guide shows the installer the trim is correctly 

lined up during installation. Other features that are now copied 

in other trims include the overhang lips, the quadrant face for 

easy 3 dimensional alignment, a thicker flange partly along its 

length to give the profile strength.

Straight Edge Trim 

A straight edge alternative to the popular round edge profiles. 

In addition to being used with standard ceramic tiles the ESP 

can be used with rectified or square cut tiles. The profile is 

available in 8, 10 and 12mm depths. The ESP can also be used 

as a capping on the horizontal where skirting tiles have been 

fitted or where walls are not fully tiled.

Multi functional PVC profile. It will accommodate two different thicknesses of tile, through means of rotating 

the head. On a separate dimension of use the flange can be unzipped from the head leaving the head that 

can be fixed using a silicone or similar pvc contact adhesive. This effectively gives a beading on internals or 

even external reveals. Internal and external corner pieces are available doing away with the need for mitre 

cuts, making 4D the most versatile of profiles in the Genesis range.

or even carpet. It provides cover for the rough cut edge for horizontal or vertical angles. Used in conjunction 

with a silicone it can effect a seal as long as there is no movement expected. EKI can be used as a floor 

baseboard/skirting, keeping the dirt out of the corner. Internal (PKI) and external (PKE) corner pieces provide 

a neat finish at internal and external corners.

Stainless Steel Tile-In Chevron 

This stainless steel chevron nosing is resistant to commonly 

used chemicals and cleaning agents, ideal for kitchens and 

bathrooms. 

The NIB is an aluminium base section with a co-extruded slip resistant PVC top. The PVC top is available in

Expansion Joints 


The Expansion Joint profiles have been designed with application, function and aesthetics carefully thought out to 

ensure the correct profile is used at installation stage. Available in a variety of materials Genesis provide expansion 

joints to suit ceramic tile, marble and stone. 

The selection of the correct Expansion Joint is determined by; area, traffic and the floor covering. Performance and 

function are paramount when making your selection and our range meets both those requirements. You’ll find light, 

medium and heavy duty expansion joints in this section, classed according to the degree of protection the profile offers 

the floor covering, the anticipated traffic crossing the floor, and any point loading. 

The footfall or machinery anticipated to traverse the floor, traffic is generally classed as light, medium or heavy duty. 

Any profile can be used in light duty applications, and we recommended that Aluminium, Brass and Stainless Steel 

profiles are used in medium and heavy duty projects. 

Technical 

These intermediate expansion joints are classed as stress relieving control joints, and as such will accommodate 

expansion and contraction of approximately +/-1.5mm. They are in accordance with the relevant British Standards

This range of different covers in brass, silver and bronze finishes is designed to use with two types of base , 

one all-purpose and the other with spiked grips on the flange. They enable carpeted surface to be joined to

An aluminium top and base section that offers two profile covers with one universal base. The TTM is the 

flat cover that will provide a transition between level floor coverings up to 14mm in depth. If a reducer

The failure to provide adequate protection to edges and external corners can be seen everywhere. In both 

public and private buildings the appearance of the finished surface – and therefore the architect’s vision – 

is so often spoiled at these vulnerable points. 

Because of our very wide experience of different applications of our profile system, we offer the services 

of our technical department free to anyone requiring advice on specific problems. P.V.C. tile edgings 

provide many benefits to the specifier and the installer. They will protect the tile from impact damage on 

vulnerable corners. They also give a finished appearance to otherwise raw tile edges. 

Installers find that they provide a true edge to work too, giving the installation a fine neat finish. They 

also appreciate the time savings edge protectors offer, making projects more economical. Stainless Steel 

profiles are able to withstand greater impacts than their P.V.C. counterparts. At the same time, they can 

also offer a very high quality of hygiene and finish. 

Due to the requirements of the latest hygiene regulations, the use of Stainless Steel profiles is 

recommended even in areas of low impact risk.

material. Provides good transition cover or even joint provider. Bonded in with a polyurethane 

adhesive, this cover may then act as a movement joint. It can be fitted retrospectively by 

grinding a suitable gap, say in ceramic floor tiles, applying a suitable adhesive, and then 

inserting the profile into place. Use a regular cleaning regime to prevent oxidisation. 

The profile surprisingly can form to make a radius without showing stress marks.
