Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial, etc.), Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in product design or UX.
- Experience working with visual and interaction design tools.
- Experience designing for products/services spanning multiple hardware platforms.
- Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).
Preferred qualifications:
- Excellent people management skills and an ability to work separately and with a team.
- Excellent creative and visual skills.

As an Interaction Designer, you’ll rely on user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences—from concept to execution. Like all of our UX jobs, you’ll collaborate with your design partners to leverage and evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative, inspired products that people love to use.
Our mission is to enable people to separately, efficiently and intuitively use Android devices to improve their everyday lives. In this role, you will focus on creating a reliable Android experience for the person who is blind, including features such as Android TalkBack, Braille keyboard, and Braille displays.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities
- Design audio-based, eyes-free interactions that are easy to understand for users with varying levels of experience with TalkBack.
- Collaborate with researchers, engineers and writers to evaluate the effectiveness of the screen reader, including refining audio and text-to-speech prompts, adjusting the conversation flow, or adding new features.
- Support accessibility quality across Android and first-party apps, through regular office hours, strategic ongoing consultations, training, and representing mobile accessibility in advisory boards.
- Improve third-party accessibility quality by collaborating with OEMs and third-party developers.
