Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in business development, partnerships, management consulting, or program management.
  • 5 years of experience in project/program management.
  • Experience working with C-level executives and cross-functionally across all levels of management.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in News or media sector.
  • Effective project management, problem-solving and analysis skills, combined with impeccable business judgment Ability to clarify and communicate complex issues for an executive audience internally and externally with excellent written, spoken and presentation skills
  • Knowledge of budgeting, dashboards and reporting tools
  • Ability to develop and manage relationships at all levels, including senior leaders internally and externally, without direct authority

About the job

As a News Program Manager you will apply exceptional program management, time management, organizational and communication skills as you engage key stakeholders across the News Partnerships organization to prioritize and work with global program and product teams to enable successful launches and landings of news products and programs.

You should be comfortable with ambiguity and be able to remain flexible in a constantly changing environment with your collaborative style effectively bringing multiple parties on board.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $129,000-$191,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive the successful launch and execution of relevant regional programs and products for News Partnerships, including conceptualizing, gathering resources and conducting regular internal training to represent programs and their intentions 
  • Coordinate with Global News Programs on key needs for the region, and menu options to be prioritized and deployed in North America
  • Execute sophisticated quantitative analyses and advanced modeling that translates data into actionable insights including partner and product data analysis and dashboarding
  • Support in strategic making process, comms, program development, business terms, agreement fulfillment, analytical reporting and tracking, and organizational and operational support across the program
  • Prepare presentations and clearly communicate findings from initiatives to senior management on key trends, issues, market insights, and competitive platform intelligence
