Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
- Experience programming in C++.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.
- 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.

The Vertex AI Intranet Search team provides powerful search experiences for enterprises based on their proprietary data. The intranet search portal experiences leverage Google’s industry leading search technologies as well as traditional ML techniques and LLMs to build cutting edge, appealing experiences which elevate employee productivity for enterprises.
Responsibilities
- Hire talent and build a high performing team culture.
- Design and build reliable, highly available, maintainable, and scalable services.
- Deliver new capabilities to enhance intranet search experience by working closely with various teams across Google including DeepMind research, Vertex AI Search, and Vertex AI Platforms.
- Integrate text Large Language Model (LLM), multimodal LLMs, and other machine learning models into diverse training and serving systems.
