Communications Specialist, Partner Engagement

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in marketing, communications, business partnership roles.
  • Experience engaging with executive stakeholders (e.g., executive decision-makers, Director, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Engineering or Applied Science, or a related field.
  • Experience maintaining website and digital content, drafting publications, newsletters and case studies.
  • Knowledge of extended workforce strategies and initiatives across functions.

gTech's Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) team empowers Product Areas to optimize Extended Workforce operations while reducing risks and driving efficiency through the enforcement of Google best practices and policies. We advocate for informed decision-making, ensuring our partners find the right talent in the right locations. Our collaboration across Google leads to streamlined processes, minimizing administrative burdens and optimizing the extended workforce (xW) experience. We ensure Google's policies and guidelines are consistently adhered to.

The Partner Engagement team builds essential relationships with Product Areas, Bets, Functions, and the Global Procurement Office (GPO). Our mission is to facilitate xWS success, enforcing compliance, building resilient operations, and promoting durable cost savings. We prioritize understanding user needs to develop solutions that address their specific challenges.

In this role, you will support our Product Areas, Bets, and function communication on the formation of future-proof strategic solutions. You will draft newsletter publications by consolidating inputs from Product Areas, Bets and Functions stakeholders who mandate extended workforce policies and guidelines, drive cross-functional OKRs focused on cost savings and compliance, and proactively mitigate risk. You will have an understanding of Product Area business objectives, operation model, structure, demand versus capacity needs, as these would inform publication content aimed at addressing obstacles to policy adoption across Product Areas, promoting company-wide best practices tailored to enhance operational success.

Responsibilities

  • Drive extensive change management leveraging communication tools supporting the launch of multiple large-scale enterprise-wide xWS efforts, collaborating with cross-functional on policies and programs to understand and articulate the impact of changes.
  • Prepare communication for xWS leadership for Alphabet-wide circulation informing changes in policies, standards and compliance obligations and upcoming milestones on Extended Workforce (xWS) enterprise wide changes including key strategic projects.
  • Deliver xWS communications such as newsletters, VP emails, preparing updates on strategic projects and many outreach programs.
  • Have an understanding of business objectives working with internal partner teams to scale processes.
  • Build trusted relationships with decision-makers gaining an understanding of their strategic priorities within Product Areas and Bets.
