About the job

The Processor Architecture team integrates design, fabrication, and hardware improvements into our exceptional quantum processors. The flagship processor’s aggregate performance relies on components including: coherence, single qubit and two qubit gates, readout, fast reset, parametric yields, etc. As a Research Scientist on this team you will integrate improvements in design, fabrication, and the hardware system into flagship processors through experimentation and also collaborating with subteams new technology proof of concepts. You will design, execute, and collaborate on experiments to identify or mitigate limiting error mechanisms in integrated processors such as coherence, parametric yield, and fabrication process.

The full potential of quantum computing will be unlocked with a large-scale computer capable of complex, error-corrected computations. Google Quantum AI's mission is to build this computer and unlock solutions to classically intractable problems. Our roadmap is focused on advancing the capabilities of quantum computing and enabling meaningful applications.
