Firmware Engineer, 5G/6G Standardization, Pixel Mobile Wireless

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., C/C++, Java, Rust).
  • Experience with 3GPP standardization on 5G/5G+ and 4G.
  • Experience attending and preparing documents for 3GPP RAN1 or RAN2 meetings.

Preferred qualifications:

  • PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Communication Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Knowledge of 3GPP 5G Layer 2 and Radio Resource Control.
  • Knowledge of 3GPP 5G RAN1 Specifications and functionalities.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on the physical layer for future cellular technologies (e.g. 5G and 6G).
  • Generate innovative ideas for cellular technologies.
  • Prepare Third Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) meeting contribution documents to promote ideas into 5G/6G standards.
