Data Scientist, Marketing, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Experience with A/B testing or other experimental design methodologies.
  • Experience with statistical software (e.g., R, Python, MATLAB) and database languages (e.g. SQL).
  • Experience leveraging data insights into storytelling for business stakeholders.


Preferred qualifications:

  • 2 years of experience with A/B testing or other experimental design methodologies.
  • 2 years of experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases, or statistical analysis, or a relevant PhD degree.
  • Experience with machine learning on large-scale computing systems like Hadoop, MapReduce, or similar environments.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g. Looker) and the ability to create clear and impactful presentations.

As a Data Scientist, you will support analyses, experimentation, and machine learning projects for security offerings within Google Cloud Marketing.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $108,000-$158,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Build and refine machine learning models to assess potential customers.
  • Analyze security product usage and market data to uncover insights.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on data science projects to optimize Sales and Marketing efforts.
