Program Manager, Data Center Environmental, Health, and Safety (English, German)

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • An occupational safety specialist qualification for Germany based on ASiG and DGUV regulations
  • 2 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience with Environmental, Health and Safety management including management of EHS compliance for industrial facilities.
  • Experience managing environmental programs (e.g., emissions, wastewater, etc.).
  • Ability to communicate in English and German fluently to communicate with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Credentials from Board of Certified Safety Professionals, NEBOSH or equivalent agencies.
  • Experience communicating with Federal, State and Local Authorities regarding EHS issues.
  • Experience with Data Center or other electrical safety industry.
  • Ability to coach, influence, and advise local employees to achieve positive EHS outcomes.
  • Excellent collaboration, project management, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, organize, and lead program activities and stakeholders to deliver successful business, operational, and technical improvements within the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) domain.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, building strong relationships and fostering a culture of safety and compliance. Ensure alignment of cross-functional and cross-organizational stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Maintain environmental permits/programs to ensure compliance with all applicable regulations. Monitor and track program performance, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans.
  • Assess EHS training needs based on identified operational risks and ensure that workforce training activities are provided to meet business and legislative requirements.
  • Manage the regional portfolio of EHS initiatives and programs for all local operations and regional initiatives.
