Scaled Abuse Analyst, YouTube

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience managing partnerships with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams.
  • Experience with data analytics.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in data management, metrics analysis, experiment design and automation.
  • Experience with classification systems, ranking systems, or similar.
  • Experience creating opportunities to innovate, conceptualize, and complete while working with global teams.
  • Experience collecting, managing, and synthesizing large data sets and information from disparate sources, statistical modeling, data mining, and data analysis.
  • Experience translating analytical insights into business strategies and actions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies and methods to enforce YouTube content policies at scale across hundreds of millions of videos and other entities, leveraging machine learning as appropriate.
  • Deliver improvements to our performance metrics based on understanding of the drivers of operations. Ensure that solutions fit within the current complex Product and backend infrastructures.
  • Work closely with the Policy, Operations, and Product teams to understand the ever-changing policy enforcement landscape, and with Engineering teams to develop and test new features that address operational needs.
  • Provide rapid incident response for abuse problems, operating with minimal guidance. Analyze and draw conclusions on root-causes and define and implement mitigation steps.
  • Develop a deep understanding of the abuse landscape, covering key vectors including insights towards drivers/intention of the abuse, methods to acquire accounts, gaps in our enforcement, etc.
