Director, Supply Chain Operations, Google Distributed Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 15 years of experience within Supply Chain or Procurement or 13 years of experience with an advanced degree
  • Experience with supply chain, business operations, procurement, and hardware products
  • Experience in influencing senior executives, negotiations, and partner management

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree
  • 20 years of experience in Supply Chain or Procurement
  • Experience working with and leading diverse teams and a variety of stakeholders, and executing strategies to deliver exceptional solutions
  • Ability to identify opportunities and areas for improvement, and to operate in a fast-paced environment
  • Team player and the ability to exercise good judgment in a rapidly changing and sometimes stressful environment
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with multiple teams simultaneously

Google Distributed Cloud (GDC) is Google’s fully managed edge hardware and software product for enterprises and public sector to innovate with AI, keep data secure and independent, and modernize with Kubernetes based consistent and open developer experience from edge to cloud.

As Director, Supply Chain and Operations for GDC, you will work closely across the GDC Engineering and Product Management teams to drive New Product Introduction (NPI) of GDC hardware products. You will work with Go-To Market teams and sales teams to perform global demand planning and forecasting of the product. You will lead a team of cross-functional members consisting of PM, PgM and TPM to drive NPI, Capacity planning, Demand forecasting, Sourcing, Procurement, Delivery logistics, and Day 2 life cycle management of GDC products to all customers globally. This role partners very closely with Global Procurement Organization (GPO) and Cloud Supply Chain Operations (CSCO).

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $237,000-$340,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Drive New Product Introduction (NPI) programs for new GDC infrastructure hardware products like compute, network, storage, security.
  • Lead capacity planning and demand forecasting of GDC SKUs across all customers globally by partnering with Go-To-Market, PM, and Sales.
  • Lead sourcing of GDC product components and manage partnerships with hardware vendors, system integrators and global logistics firms, ensuring continuity of supply.
  • Drive procurement and delivery of customer forecasts to all customers globally. Manage operations of forecast to delivery as well as Day 2 operations.
  • Manage the day-to-day functioning of the GDC Supply chain organization, hire and develop the best, drive the vision and strategy of the team, publish roadmaps, and manage all stakeholders.
