Financial Analyst, POps Finance

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), consulting, or a related function, or 5 years with a relevant advanced degree.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience building data infrastructure (e.g., designing architecture, building data pipelines, implementing scalable monitoring) and implementing reporting solutions.
  • Experience developing strategies in fast-paced competitive environments, for resource allocation decisions to achieve desired business outcomes.
  • Leadership experience with complex strategic and operational initiatives, across multiple products, functions, and geographies.
  • Ability to take ownership, confidence to interact with all levels, set objectives, drive results, and be a team player.
  • Ability to work with data to produce analysis, influencing decision making with numerical analysis and generating insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with a wide variety of departments.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$196,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities

  • Utilize data analytics and insights to guide business partners in making informed decisions that align with Google’s goals.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop business cases for key initiatives, evaluating their relative merit and advocating for the allocation of resources to the most impactful projects. Develop and execute driver based resource allocation models to ensure optimal utilization of recruiting resources.
  • Lead core FP&A activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and reporting. Ensure adherence to Google's accounting and compliance standards.
  • Identify and implement opportunities for improved spend management and durable cost savings through ad-hoc analysis and data-driven insights. 
  • Develop and track operational metrics that effectively measure progress towards core business drivers and enable a long term cost to hire roadmap.
