Sales Incentive Program Operations Manager

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in management consulting, sales operations, business strategy, investment banking, venture capital, private equity, or corporate advisory, or 4 years of experience with an advanced degree.
  • Experience with statistical and simulation analysis, SQL, relational data, and BI tools.
  • Experience with annual planning like quota setting and territory management.
  • Experience in sales compensation planning or incentives programs.

Preferred qualifications:

  • MBA or Master's degree.
  • Experience working with executive leadership and partnering with sales or product management in a Business-to-Business (B2B) environment.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with Finance, Sales, or Marketing teams in the consumer hardware industry.
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas in a simple manner.

About the job

As a Sales Incentive Program Operations Manager, you will work closely with business leaders and executive management to deliver actionable insights and support in the areas of sales incentive program quota development, territory management, sales specials, sales incentive programs, sales reporting/performance metrics, and dashboards.

In this role, you will partner with Devices and Services Business Organization (DSBO) and Finance leadership to understand the Go-to-Market strategies and align on business priorities. You will drive the quarterly and annual quota planning cycle partnering with the different workstreams and both global as well as regional stakeholders.

The Global Partnerships organization is responsible for exploring new opportunities with Google's partners. Google’s Global Partnerships team works with a wide range of partners to bring the best of Google to power their business. The Global Partnerships team supports Google’s own Product teams with essential partnerships to help Google’s user experiences in advertising, Search, Assistant, Maps, Travel, Shopping, Payments and more. Teams create product-enabling partnerships, go-to-market strategies and incubate business growth for a variety of products.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the quota planning cycle and territory alignment processes via successful cross-team collaboration and meeting deadlines.
  • Support the global sales initiatives as appropriate, ensuring that programs are rolled out effectively.
  • Coordinate and oversee sales incentive territory mapping process and changes in respective regions.
  • Coordinate quarterly quota exception process tracking, providing DSBO and Finance leadership with appropriate reporting.
  • Work with Go-to-Market Finance and DSBO Sales Operations on financial goals and translation to quota. Evaluate quota guardrails, assign quotas and coverage, and provide recommendations based on business goals/needs.
