Renewals Sales Specialist, Workspace, Google Cloud

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
  • 3 years of experience in renewals, account management, sales, or equivalent customer facing role
  • Experience collaborating with legal/contract management teams to facilitate agreement review, revision, and execution
  • Ability to communicate in English and Japanese fluently for this customer-facing sales role.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience selling enterprise SaaS products
  • Understanding of Google Cloud products
  • Ability to effectively influence and communicate cross-functionally at C-level’s within prospect companies
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent discovery, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills working with external clients

As a Renewals Sales Specialist, you will be accountable for customer retention and business growth through the annual renewal process. You’ll work closely with your extended Workspace team, leverage data to understand our customer portfolio, ensure that customers have an exceptional renewal experience, and ultimately be held accountable to Workspace retention metrics. You will be a key contributor to the success of Workspace and its metrics.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, drive, and lead the renewals process in collaboration with the Workspace Expansion Specialist account team to preserve and improve customer agreements and relationships.
  • Manage a portfolio of annual customer renewals, ensuring on-time customer retention and high year-over-year renewal rates.
  • Grow business by positioning organic growth, discount reduction, auto-renewals, and multi-year agreements to grow the business.
  • Verify agreements and data integrity of all quotes, and review terms and conditions to ensure renewal subscriptions are in line with company guidelines and policy.
  • Identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities to maximize customer growth. Be accountable for accurate opportunity and forecast data for agreements.
