Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, JavaScript, Python, C, C++,).
- 1 year of experience with data structures or algorithms.
Preferred qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills.
- Interest in infrastructure/backend systems.
- Java readability isn't required, but the candidate will be expected to be making progress toward achieving that.

We support and partner with the commerce ecosystem, from large retailers to small local merchants, to give them the tools, technology and scale to thrive in today’s digital world.Responsibilities
- Design plus implement APIs, data schema, and suitable abstractions to serve data at a scale.
- Work with client teams that access APIs both during development and for production support.
- Join an On Call rotation to support the production environment.
- Handle escalations from customer support agents.
- Work on Google wide mandates covering our existing systems. Focused on new compliance needs and answering questions about the data the team manages and grant access to it where appropriate.
